Fireplace Insert Buying Guide

Changing out your traditional fireplace for an insert can improve heat efficiency by up to 70%.

The first thing you need to consider when looking at inserts is how much heat it will put out.  Insert’s heat output is measured in BTUs per hour.  The larger the room you need to heat, the higher the BTUs need to be.

Make sure the insert you choose is the right fit for your fireplace.  Measure exactly to get the seal you need.

Your chimney should be cleaned well before installation.  Usually the installer will provide this service with your purchase.
